We offer trailer axles complete with hub/drums and electric brakes, such as # 35545E-ST-89 which is a 3500-lb-rated axle with 89-inch hub face spacing an 74-inch spring center spacing. In your preferred axle size of 72-inches we do offer complete kits with idler hubs (no brake drums or brakes) and these are typically rated for 2000- or 2200-lbs. We do offer trailer axles that already have the spindle and some even come with brakes! I do not recommend modifying the length on any trailer axles, though, because they have been manufactured for a specific purpose and any modification could cause something to be out of balance or uneven.

For a trailer with underslung axles(leaf spring mounted below the axle) you will need the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs in either a 3,000-5,000LB Capacity # TSS-106-40 or 5,000-8,000LB Capacity # SS33HR. We do have the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 that will allow you to use an underslung axle on your trailer. The Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # 8327816-EB is a 5,200lb axle. It includes 12" brakes and a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. As I mentioned previously the over-under kit will allow you to mount this axle in an overslung position without having to weld on new spring perches. There are a couple of things that you'll need to know that will determine whether or not you can flip the axles on your 2017 Keystone Sprinter 5th Wheel. You will need to have round axles with either 2-3/8" or 3" diameter, and your current suspension system must be installed below the axle. You'll want to check the specs on the plate or sticker in the middle of your axle to determine what type of axles you currently have on this trailer to determine if your trailer meets these requirements.

The Timbren Axle-Less Suspension, like # A35RS545E will be the best option in changing out your trailers axles. Unfortunately, we do not carry torsion style axles.
The bearings that you supplied shows that your axles look to be rated at 3,500 lbs for each axle.
The Timbren Axles will bolt on to your trailer frame and will include hub/drum and electric brake assemblies. On some applications an additional cross member may need to be required to reinforce the axles to the trailer's frame.

We do offer standard beam axles for leaf spring suspensions and also Timbren axle-less suspension systems rated for 2K but due to shipping size and weight restrictions we cannot ship torsion axles.
A major benefit to the Timbren systems is improved ground clearance under the trailer. Since there is no axle tube you gain additional ground clearance, or you can choose to have a lower trailer deck height if that suits your application.

Drop axles don't drop the distance between the trailer frame and axle as basically the drop is after the suspension and between the spindle. So the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket # TSS-106-40 would install just fine on a drop axle. But sounds like you have an overslung axle based on the distance between your leaf spring and trailer frame. So for that you'd instead want the part # TSS-107-40. view full answer...
For your Dexter 5,000 lb Torflex torsion axles the lift kit that will work - so long as your axles are side-mounted #11 Torflex axles - is the Torflex Lift Kit # K71-724-02. Though this kit is meant for tandem axles - there aren't kits available designed for three axles - it will work for your trailer if it had a trio of #11 Torflex axles; you would just need to order two of them in order to get the needed parts for your trailer.

It is possible that we have a rubber suspension equalizer that can be added to your 7,000 lb tandem axle trailer. The axle spacing will be needed to determine which rubber equalizers, if any, will work on your trailer. This style of equalizer is designed for trailers with two 3,000 to 8,000 pound axles, depending on which setup is needed.

Sounds like you are describing the brake output circuit wires that came with your new trailer axles.
Basically the wires of the axles need to run from the main brake output circuit feed of your trailer wiring to each of the trailer brake assemblies.
If you check out the picture I attached you will see how they are typically wired.
The brake assembly wires can be used for either ground or power. It doesn't matter which you pick as long as the other wire is connected as well to the opposite... view full answer...
We have two axle over-under kits that allow raising a trailer's height by reversing the positions of the leaf spring stack and axle. Kit # K71-384-00 works for a 2-3/8-inch diameter axle and kit # K71-385-00 works with 3-inch diameter axles. Unfortunately we do not have a kit for a 1-3/4-inch diameter axle.

I would recommend sticking to matching axle styles as much as possible. Having a totally straight axle with a cambered one would most likely give you tire wear/alignment issues.
